Ride the Orient Express: My Dream

Thanks for clicking on my link. I appreciate you reading this GoFundMe ask. I am asking everyone to help me realize a lifelong dream to ride the Orient Express.
With everything that is going on in our World right now, I had to think long and hard about whether to do this campaign. Then this morning I read a post that said..."continue to live your dream as part of your fight". My work in the world is and will be inspired by the people and places I see/meet while traveling. My Spirit needs this journey.
Months ago several close friends said they would love to contribute to helping me make this dream a reality. So, here goes...

My Ask
The full trip from Paris to Istanbul is an amazing 6 day once a year journey that stops in several cities. One day I would LOVE to do that journey, but the cost, $12,000 for each adult. That is about 3Xs what my entre journey in Europe(3 mos-see below) will cost in total.
What I AM asking for is help in raising $850 for a shorter but just as amazing trip on April 27, 2017. It will cover my plane ticket to London from Paris and the train $800 for a single rider. I'll spring for my own bottle of champagne of the train. ;)
If you donate $10 or more, I will send you a postcard from Europe. I promise. That will be so fun!
I am asking each of you who can and want to contribute, to assist me is taking the trip from London to Paris , which is a 9 hour trip on the Orient Express. My little girl Spirit will be satiated with this journey. I will savor every moment. I will also share it with all of you. Not live, but I will document it and share.
A Chrysalis for my Soul
The work I am birthing with Smart Girl Wise Woman programs requires me to be whole and inspired so I can be my best self in support of women and girls. It is imperative for those of us whose life's work involves being of service to be nurtured and have the space to expand in order to be fully present and whole for that work. My vision will be honed and fed by this journey and other experiences I will have in Europe.
Help me feed the little girl in me whose imagination is sparked by her love for trains, travel, meeting a diverse array of 'new friends' everywhere she goes and eating/tasting the fruits of this planet. Her gratitude is boundless.

The Orient Express and the Feeding of My Imagination
When I was about 10 or 11 years old, we didn't have cable and obviously the internet did not exist. It was the mid 70s and PBS was where my imagination was fed outside of the books I read every single Sunday (yes. a whole book every week).
I would watch every Shakespeare play, every version of Dracula, everything Sherlock Holmes. Those narratives are a part of who I am. But my love affair with trains began the day I first saw Murder on the Orient Express in like 1978ish on PBS. Watch here if you like:
Some know that I LOVE taking the train. It started here. I was blessed to be able to take the (historically) first cross country route for the public across the country by train last year on Amtrak's Southwest Chief. It was an incredible experience.
But for nearly 40 years I have longed to take the Trip from London to Istanbul on the "Orient Express" route. The train, the Orient Express, has gone through various changes and iterations over the century. The cars that run from London to the chunnel (the Belmond British Pullman) and Calais to Paris (Venice Simplon-Orient-Express) are not, obviously, the original cars. However, the trains in the UK and France are vintage trains that are restored to the original splendor.

Background on My Trip to Europe
As many of you know, I have been planning to go on a 3 month working vacation in Europe in Spring of 2017. My trip will start in Paris for 4 days with my mother. Then about 7 days in Ireland. Then back to Paris. I will spend the rest of April in France. I will be taking cooking classes in small villages, volunteering on a farm, hopping over to Germany and the Netherlands to visit longtime friends who live there.
May is Spain/Morrocco. June is more Spain. More food, more volunteering, while I work on websites and women's projects from my laptop.
