Tatay Erning's Battle with Cancer

This fund is for my father-in-law, Tatay Erning Moya. Tatay (meaning father in Filipino) is 79 years old and he hails originally from Bicol, Philippines. He is currently visiting his eldest son Neil, my husband  and his two grandchildren in Surrey, Canada. Barely two weeks left before heading back home, we rushed him to the hospital due to progressive shortness of breath due to cough and colds. What we thought would be a common flu turned out to be a devastating terminal cancer. He is currently confined at Surrey Memorial Hospital. CT Scan showed evidence of widely metastatic disease that affected his lung, liver, andrenals, and pancreas. His blood tests show that his magnesium and potassium are critically low.

Tatay Erning is known to be a loving husband, supportive father and a caring grandfather. He and my mother-in-law, Nanay Ester came here to Canada last July 28, 2017, for a much awaited reunion that his son planned and saved for years. It has been a lovely and memorable vacation until the unexpected happened. His travel insurance cannot cover all his medical expenses here in Canada.

Once we got a clear signal from the doctor that Tatay Erning is stable, we intend to bring him back to Philippines. Given the challenging circumstances, we the Moya's family is appealing to your kind and generous heart for help. Your financial support, love, and prayers will be highly appreciated.
