With increasing threats to the American 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, specifically recently with calls from the federal government to forcibly institutionalize transgender people (https://equality.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/equality-caucus-statement-increasing-anti-trans-rhetoric-members), TATANKA chooses to respond with a proactive solution.
TATANKA is not merely a refuge; it is a declaration. We stand unshaken at the edge of rising authoritarian tides, offering not pity, but power, to the exiled, the hunted, the unheard. We do not beg for justice. We build it, fiercely and beautifully. Our sanctuary will be real, encrypted, and alive. We welcome the oppressed not just with open arms but with open doors to become protectors, creators, and co-conspirators in the sacred orchestration of freedom.
Whether you are fleeing persecution or choosing to rise from its ashes, TATANKA offers you not only shelter, but purpose. Join our ranks—as staff, as artists, as voices, and reclaim your place in the light while spreading light into the increasing global darkness.
Relocation is not retreat. It is revolution. We do not fear oppression. We answer it with love. Full stop.

Our deck, business plan, and financials: https://tatanka.site/deck.
To provide funding for a full staff, facility, and all baseline costs for our first year of operation, after which our nineteen revenue streams will allow us to bootstrap in order to continue and expand, our funding request is reflected in the business plan and financials, plus additional funding to acquire the ideal residences/facility/campus in a viable location outside of the U.S.
Ideally, if an organization aligned to our mission, including providing a safe and secure alternative to marginalized and at-risk staff, were interested in meeting our seed funding needs, additional equity is negotiable. We seek a funding partner or partners who will be much more than an investor; they will help lead and be part of TATANKA. If the right organization were able to provide and sustain the facility or other operational needs, our needs would decrease.
