Galien Koen

This is my good friend Galien, those of you that have met him, know him as the corn guy! Very hard worker, he works his hands to until he can’t do anymore just to keep food on his table! I’ve known him almost 12 years now, in fact he built my ramp for my front door with the scraps of wood he had out at his hm in Moriarty, even though I asked him not to he insisted, despite his bad back! As I said earlier he was robbed today, by some young punks at his spot where he sells corn, Tramway and Montgomery, he scraps for all he can do by picking the corn and selling it, he’s always working odd jobs that really a 20 year old kid she be out doing but he’s there every day working! They stole 600 dollars from him and beat him up pretty bad! These pics don’t even show all the bruises on his body where he was kicked and hit trying to hang on to his money bag but in the end he gave it up to the two punks! He unfortunately can’t stay down to long in fact he wouldn’t seek medical because he can’t afford the hospital bills and because corn season only last a few more weeks! So he’s at a stand, where he has to try and pick things back up and try and go back out and work! I told him not to allow those punks to run him off his business block! So I’m just asking, when, he can make it back up there if your in the area of Tramway and Montgomery, stop by and buy some corn and give him a helping hand with your love! By the way you’ll love the corn, it’s delicious! But he really could use some help, his truck is barely getting him down the hill from Moriarty so it would surprise him to know the world isn’t all bad! I’ll let you know when he gets back out there in fact I plan on coming out there, God willing! We can’t let thieves win in our city I stand with those hard working people who bust their ass for what little they can make to put food on their table! This is our city it doesn’t belong to these street punks! Galien lives alone with his three dogs that is his family, he can't afford his hospital bills alone after being beat up by the street punks,  and to make things worse the same day he was robbed, as I mentioned his truck quite on him with engine problems so as of now he has no truck and is borrowing a friends truck to work! But he really needs a vehicle thats reliable, as I've mentioned to him! With hospital bills and the need to get another reliable truck, after being robbed he's not going to be able to continue the coming down to sale corn without a truck! Plus the stress of getting proper medical attention. So I'm asking Albuquerque's community to step in and lets give him some help! He works hard for what little he earns and being robbed didn't help his situation. Can we stand up and help him get back on his feet? God helps those that help the needy! God Bless you all!
