Tanzanian School Resources
Hey good people.
'So They Can' work with rural communities in Africa; helping people become self-sufficient and meet their own needs via education and community development. I'm heading over in November as a volunteer with some teaching students and would love to hand over some much needed cash to the cause.
Your donation will go towards:
- Providing school supplies such as pencils, textbooks and desks;
- Increasing local community awareness of the value of education;
- Implementing personal hygiene education to reduce the spread of disease;
- Introducing nutritional programs and access to safe drinking water.
Any amount is appreciated - however small. It will all go towards something useful. A suggestion of how the total will be spent:
$5 Two meals a day for one school child for a month
$10 Vegetable seedlings
$25 Maths syllabus guides
$75 Library Book Pack
$100 Mosquito nets for two homes
$150 Transport 3 teacher mentors between rural schools
$200 Two weekend outings for village children
$415 1 month of supplies for a local community clinic
$850 5,000 litre water tank for a classroom
$1,000 School excursion to the national park for 120 children
And if we go over the target....
$2,500 Classroom furniture for 40 children
$3,500 2 nutritious meals a day for 50 school children for 1 year
Feel free to contact me via fb/email/carrier pigeon for (feeless) bank details.
Many many many thanks :)
