ProjeKt Inspire STEM Outreach in TZ

I was incredibly moved and inspired to help the local community when I returned from Tanzania this year... Especially in the area of STEM outreach and “STEM for everyone”, for which I’m extremely passionate. I researched and got in touch with the Projekt Inspire organization and immediately resonated with everything that this team strives for.
ProjeKt Inspire is a non-profit, youth-based, youth-led STEM and Health education initiative in Tanzania aiming at changing mindsets, shedding light into younger generations’ career options and thinking out of the box. ProjeKt Inspire aspires to allow Tanzanian students to think creatively on their own, to make ethical judgments and decisions, to develop self-confidence and explore beyond what is being offered in classes. It is a complementary program that prepares Tanzanian students to choose the best courses in universities and to get involved in extra curricula activities that can better prepare them for knowledge and skills needed in the global market and to better society and their community.
This fundraiser will directly benefit the students of Tanzania and their STEM education, through the procurement of STEM education kits, materials for STEM education boot camps, computers, and help from teachers and professors specializing in the areas of STEM. All organized through ProjeKt Inspire. The funds will go directly to the ProjeKt Inspire non-profit organization, who will manage and disperse the support and resources for the activities and materials previously mentioned.
I’m traveling to Tanzania on November 17th this year to work directly with ProjeKt Inspire, their Board of Directors and the primary, secondary and university students of Tanzania. For four days I’ll be able to tour with them, work with the students, and talk to them about space exploration and how those same engineering principles we use for space missions can be applied back into their community. I can’t wait to help inspire the next generation of international STEM students!
