Tanya's Hope

Tanya is an amazing woman that has had an ongoing battle with breast cancer many years, she won her first battle with it in the early 2000s as a single mother with two children, on her own, and it came back 5 years ago and has been an ongoing battle since. The first go around she had to fight cancer while providing for her two children with minimal help, the last 5 years she has had an AMAZING support system, we can't give up so easy on her, as she has never given up on us, she has always been so strong and positive through it all. She is only 50 years young with a lot of life left in her. Our family has kept the details more private, as we have always tried to stay positive and never give up hope, but with the recent events, we are asking for help in our, what seems to be, last hope. We want to be open with our friends and loved ones and ask for help this go around. Her cancer has come back about 5 years ago in her bones, brain, and now spinal fluid and has begun to spread. She was doing well with multiple surgeries, radiation, chemo, all while still working and being an amazing wife, mother, friend, and family member to everyone around her. As the years went on she had to retire because as strong as she is, she needed to focus on getting healthy. Since then, unfortunately, things did turn for the worse. Her cancer is spreading and is not responding to any treatment, the doctors gave us the bad news. This last round of chemo therapy she went down hill, fast. She is very weak, too weak to continue the conventional methods in fighting cancer and as a family we all agreed to not push it further and we had a rough time accepting that this woman, whom is SO strong willed would have to accept that the cancer is stronger this go around. It has become a very hard thing for us to accept so we found an alternative method to treat the cancer, that will not harm her. This method is done at a medical clinic in Tampa, 3 hours away from where she lives. They use IPT therapy all while trying to boost her immune system with other treatments and natural treatments along side with a nutritionist. We have decided this option as our "last hope." As a family we believe this is a good last shot to try to heal her fully. This treatment will not harm her, at the very least we hope this can improve her life for the time she has left, prolong her life to where she can leave the house and enjoy time with her loved ones, or CURE her. We ask for help this go around because this treatment does not accept health insurance. My mother has hope again and for many that know her you know she is not one to give up, she is and always will be a fighter. She is confident in giving this a go as she wants to be here with her loved ones. She wants to continue to be a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She wants to meet her grand babies and be here to live the life she deserves. She was always one to give her shirt off her back to someone in need. She is an amazing, outgoing, strong, independent, loving, positive, resilient woman. My mother has never asked for anything, she has always stayed so strong, positive, and upbeat. Had you met her last year, you wouldn't believe the fight she has been fighting for years now. Regardless how unfair this is, she has never looked at life in a negative way. Her positive attitude towards life is reason enough for us to help her fight this. We ask for help to keep her with us longer. To keep her spirit alive. We are asking for donations to cover the expense of this treatment, travel, and stay. Any monies not used for my mothers treatment, travel, or stay we plan to give to another family in need we have in mind, that is also battling the fight against cancer. This campaign was made by her daughter and husband Dean Munoz, most of you are aware that Dean is her husband and an amazing support during this fight. He has and will be staying most of the time during the treatment in Tampa with her and we couldn’t do this without him. The monies are going to his account as he is the main supporter that will be with her and making payments towards the treatment.
