Tannia’s ongoing battle

Most of you know my story and ongoing battle with Cancer. I was recently told I was done and no more treatment was needed only to find out 3 months post surgery that I will be needing to do Chemotherapy in order to avoid recurrence. I’m stressed beyond measure because this means that I will have to be out of work for the next 3 months. I know a lot of people are ok to work while going through this process however in times of COVID it is not recommended and on top of that I work in a field where I’m very susceptible to bite and scratch wounds that can easily lead to infection and in my case a lot of issues due to my compromised immune system, so I have no choice but to stay home. I can’t apply for disability because I am not terminally ill and it’s not something that will last at least 12 months (their requirements). If you know me you know that my husband and children are my world and I rarely ask for this type of help but for them I will do anything. We already have one child with disabilities that needs our attention 24/7 and now this, I know my husband is stressed beyond measure but won’t show it in front of me. Any little amount helps, j just want him to know that no matter how little it may be I will always always try my best to walk beside him and let him know that it’s not all falling on him.
