One time a friend told me “Cancer Sucks”
You know how the saying goes, you never really understand something 100% till it hits you personally.
Here we are the three amigos, best friends who have known each other since we were children, in high school, we grew to be inseparable, over 40 years we stayed in contact.
We are having dinner together in this photo.
Oh, how I love these two women. Mary, the dusty blond on the left, Tangi the blond in the middle and myself the brunette on the right. I love this picture, it was our last picture together. We lost Mary a few years back to cancer. “Cancer Sucks” I get that statement now!
When Tangi called me a few months back to say she had breast cancer.
I was devastated, shocked…
No, No, No not Tangi!!
Not my friend who is an Angel to all that meet her. Full of love, Oh,sooo full of fun and…
She lights up every room she walks in, if you don’t know her when she walks in, you will never forget her after just one meeting. She cares about everyone she knows and even supports orphans, not just one orphan, but a whole orphanage in India, she is just that kind of gal.
The good news is the breast cancer is reacting positively to treatment, she caught it fast… something to really celebrate.
The challenge is she must fly back and forth to Seattle to get her cancer treatment many times over the next year. At $500 a ticket, she will have to dig deep in to her retirement to make it work.
Cancer, should never take anyone’s retirement!
So, lets help Tangi, get her breast cancer treatment!
You can donate a small amount (all amounts matter) or you can you can donate a full ticket $500 or if you have air miles to share that would be perfect too.
Join team Tangi and support an angel, that has given so much, it is her turn.
We need these funds by Jan 1st 2018 or Tangi will have to use her retirerment.
