Ericas Road To Recovery

Hello, my name is Erica I am 24 year old cancer survivor from New York. On September 21st I started having complications with my body and went in for what I thought would be a normal visit to the urgent care, and it wasn't. I was abnormally bleeding and in severe pain abdominally. I was put on antibiotics and medications and a few days later returned home. I made multiple trips back to the ER with worsening symptoms and complications. Fevers, severe pain, nausea, vomiting, extreme fatigue, no appetite, and even passing out at times.  They put me through an emergency surgery, which turned into another surgery being done due to me having further problems and complications that were unknown at the time, and bleeding uncontrollably for 3 1/2 hours. They cut through my uterus during the surgery and I started bleeding internally (abdominally) and later became septic. I have been in the hospital a total of 23 times since 09/21/2020 and admitted a total of 8 of those, I have spent more time there than home, it is still undetermined if my uterus is a home for any children I wish to have (doctors determined it is a very slim chance of ever conceiving and being able to carry) and I possibly need a hysterectomy done. I am now home (for now) with a mid-line (IV) in my arm and I am able to administer my own medication and antibiotics with a nurse visiting me a few times a week and on call for me day and night until they figure out the next steps for me. I am a giver 100% and I've never been able to ask for help, but with me being out of work for this long, and possibly a few more months, and short term disability taking a few months as well I could use all the help I can get.
