Tana's Cancer Battle

Back in early 2018 Tana was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Olfactory neuroblastoma. It started in her nasal cavity nerve and spread to her neck lymph nodes, throat, and brain. After the first two of six treatments of aggressive chemotherapy (April-May) the tumor had shrunk approximately 90%.  Unfortunately after four of the treatments she ended up in the hospital for extended stays from an allergic reaction to the post chemo treatments.  Now she is about to complete her 33 radiation treatments and 5 additional chemotherapy treatments. Through God's grace and a great team at The OSU James Cancer Center, Tana is on the winning side of this cancer. 
         Our challenge now is financial. Tana's income has been reduced to 65% of her regular pay. Recently, we received a letter on August 23, 2018 from her employer informing us that our health insurance ended on July 1, 2018. In order to continue our insurance we were given three options. One, we could sign up for COBRA and have our coverage back dated to July 1 but we would have to pay three months of premiums at $2,216.43 for a total of $6,649.29. Two, we could start COBRA September 1rst at $2,216.43 and cover the bills from July 1 until September 1 out of pocket. Three we could search for another insurance company that would take us on with an existing condition. In addition, we would have to continue that premium amount until she is able to return to work which will hopefully be the first of 2019. These premiums, medication bills, and past bills for MRIs, PET Scans, EMT transfers are taking their toll. 
        We are reaching out to our families, friends, and willing organizations to help us meet these financial obligations. Whatever you can afford to give will be greatly appreciated. Please help us in our journey.
