Tan Family's Loss due to a Fire
Donation protected
On the afternoon of Wednesday, August 16, 2017, my sister Mary Tan, her husband Edgar Tan, brother in law Edmund Tan, and the kids Almira and Janine, lost their home to a fire in Glendale, CA. Edmund did not survive this tragedy due to the injuries sustained from the fire. Over 75% of the home was burned and the rest damaged by the water. The house is uninhabitable and majority of their belongings were destroyed. Losing a home and a loved one is a nightmare that will scar for life.
All proceeds raised will be given to my sister and her family to help them find a new home, cover medical and funeral expenses plus rebuild their lives. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated. If we all pull together, we can make the transition for them more bearable. It takes each of us to make a difference so please join me in helping a family in need.
The memories of Edmund Tan will always remain in our hearts. Death separates us from one another in body and in spirit, but the person always remains alive. May the comfort of God help the Tan family during this challenging time to face each day with hope and strength. The pain endured cannot be relieved, the loss can never be replaced, the memories can never be cast away; but with some amount of compassion, thoughtfulness, gentle words, one can surely help ease the pain. Let us remember the Tan family in our prayers.
