Tammy's Medical Deductible

Last November, Tammy, a busy wife and working mother of 2, went in for a routine mammogram and received the kind of news that would change her life forever. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and tested positive for brca2. December was a blur of doctors' offices and medical test. In early January, she underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Tammy is recovering and beginning to resume her role as wife, mother, and career woman, however, she has a long road ahead of her with many decisions to make regarding her health and the possibility of additional surgery. If you are fortunate enough to know Tammy personally, she is probably one of the most generous, loving, thoughtful people you know. Tammy is strong in her faith and lives by it, setting an example for others, "Faith Over Fear!" She lives her life to bless others every chance she gets. Tammy is a Sunday School teacher with a large church family; a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend to all who know her. She has a servant's heart and has spent countless hours volunteering to serve people in need. Now, she is in need. With the timing of her diagnosis and surgery and the state of medical insurance these days, she is having to pay 2 large deductibles back to back. This has caused a strain on finances for a family with 2 small children and additional stress for Tammy when she least needs it. Both Tammy and her husband Travis are wonderful, hardworking people who have "paid it forward" their whole lives. Now we, their friends, family, and strangers, have an opportunity to send back to them some of the good they put into this world.
