This is hard to do……to ask for help!
Our Mom is amazing and we love her with all our hearts. All we want is for her to be able to live the best life she can. To be able to travel, run after her grandkids, or just play a family game of ball. She is the strongest woman we know and she herself would never ask for help, so we will do it for her.
Approximately 30 years ago our mother Tammy ( Daisy )found out she has Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency which has caused Emphysema. Dealing with this most of her life…. Trips to the hospital because her lungs have collapsed, trips to Vancouver for treatments, weekly visits from a nurse to administer her medicine. It has now come to the point where she is on Oxygen 24/7 and is now placed on a Lung transplant list.
The cost of this being extensive, living, travel, equipment etc. Even though we wish we could it’s too much.
Once she receives the call that there are lungs available she will immediately be off to Edmonton for what I believe to be a 6-12 hour surgery. After that, recovery begins, which will be hard enough with out having to stress about the finances. Her recovery will take months, and she will be in Edmonton for three months to a year depending. My Father will be with her every step of the way, and us kids will be getting up there every chance we can.
We humbly ask that you help out anyway you can….Our Mom deserves the world!
