Support Tammy's Recovery

Donation protected
On January 6 , 2015 Tammy McMarion was involved in a terrible car accident that has left her with a long road to recovery. Tammy is a wonderful mother of two, a doting grandmother, and an incredibly kind and generous friend to many. Anyone who knows Tammy, knows that she is the person that puts everyone else’s needs above her own. She will take time out of her day, as busy as it may be, to help wherever is needed. Both in her personal and professional life, Tammy acts as selflessly as one can imagine. For 17 years, she has worked in the non-profit industry helping those that are less fortunate—those without food, without shelter, and without hope.

On that fateful night of January 6th, Tammy was hit head-on by a SUV that swerved into oncoming traffic; regretfully the driver of the SUV died at the scene. It took rescue workers over 40 minutes to get Tammy out of the wreckage, during which time she was without oxygen. Rushed to the hospital, Tammy was resuscitated, and thankfully is still with us today. She suffered two broken legs, a crushed ankle, a broken arm, a broken jaw and had swelling and bleeding of the brain. Through multiple surgeries, doctors have been able to stabilize Tammy, but the road to recovery will be long.

As anyone might imagine, Tammy's family is devastated and trying their best to help Tammy learn a new way of life. The doctors are uncertain of a timeline for her recovery and many more surgeries are in her future. Unable to return to work, her family is at a loss on how to pay for the therapy that Tammy needs and how to maintain the household bills.

Tammy has always been a planner and regardless of any of her struggles she always found a way to remain self sufficient—never asking for help. As she so selflessly helped countless children, adults, and elderly it is time that we, as Tammy would, help as we can. Tammy still would never ask for help, but we know that she needs it. Any donation, large or small will go towards Tammy's rehabilitation costs—as they are anticipated to shoot through the roof.

Thank you so much for all your care and concern, it has allowed Tammy to keep a smile on her face despite this unthinkable tragedy.
