Tammy Goodwin's Cancer Battle

News from James yesterday.....

Tammy is back home with me finally and getting some sleep! Picture is from yesterday. The hospice nurses came in and got us all set up to take good care of her. And they were both very sweet ladies who were very patient with us. But Tammy is already talking about a beach house trip, etc!. Bless her heart!! I hope she gets to do anything and everything she wants! Thank you all so much for helping to make that happen. The kindness and generosity shown to us by our friends has just been amazing and humbling!
Thank you all again from all of what is left of my heart! Much love! <3

Message from Tammy's family...

Well I have an update on Tammy Goodwin and it's not a good one.

They did a ct scan in the ER yesterday and in it they saw cancer all in her abdomen. None of it was there at her surgery a month ago.

Mom will be going home on Hospice once her antibiotics are done.

They've given her roughly 4-6 months.

For those asking how to help she wants to make a bucket list of places to go and things to do. If some one can share her go fund me in the comments of appreciate it. I don't have the link but any help would be awesome. I also know she really loves pedicures and the beach.

Just keep sending her and my dad and sister as many prayers and good thoughts you can muster.

Our Niece and Nephew got the news no one ever wants to hear. Tammy has Stage 3B Cervical Cancer. Right now she has sepsis, infection from the sleeve they surgically inserted for internal radiation treatment She has gone thru round one of chemo and will start another soon. She has lost her income due to her health issues and James income barely covers the bills. As they say when it rains it pours. They are having trouble affording the back and forth from Rainier to Portland for treatments.  Some of her prescriptions are expensive and not covered. Then their only car broke down. They were living their dream on a small 40 ft yacht when they found out the news. Knowing it would be difficult for Tammy they quickly sold it for a loss but it was enough to move on land. Now the new place roof is leaking thru the light fixtures and the furnace went out. They tried using small heaters but it trips the breakers. During all this one of their beloved dog Robyn died.  The expenses will be in thousands. Any  donation no matter how small will help. James & Tammy have two daughters and three of the cutest grandchildren. Tammy has always loved animals, her dogs are members of the family. She is fighter, she will beat this.
