A resident of Dalton, Georgia, I have encountered countless of children entering the foster care system for a number of reasons. A former foster child myself, I relate to and understand what it takes to meet the emotional and financial needs of a foster child. Which is the reason why I decided to create TalkswithTasha, Inc. Group Home Give Back.
Located in Dalton, Georgia, Mercy's Door is the proud home of foster children from across the state of Georgia. It provides a safe environment for youth between the age of 12-18 to work through their achievements and setbacks. The youth that reside at Mercy's Door will receive residential care until they are able to return home to their family, adopted, or age out of foster care. Mercy's Door has two homes for boys as well as a home for girls.
Additionally, Northwest Georgia Girls Home is a group home that provides residential care for girls between the age of 12-18. It provides a loving environment for approximately 8 to 10 girls, and tries to create a caring family structure for the girls entering into the home.
Because of the recent pandemic brought on because of COVID federal funding has been cut, and many foster homes and group homes are in need of donations. There is a daily need for food, clothing, cleaning supplies, educational supplies, toiletry items, and towels.
I want to raise $500 by December 31, 2020, to donate to a group home in Dalton, Georgia. I cannot do this alone, so, I am asking for your help. Your support will mean the world to me.
