Taleisha's swimming dream

Taleisha has big dreams for her swimming and one day would love to swim for Australia at the Olympic Games. She is a good long distance swimmer with her favourite events been the 200m backstroke and 400m individual medley. She holds a number of club records including the 100m and 400m Individual medley and 1500m freestyle. She also enjoys competing in open water events and hopes to one day complete the Rottnest Channel swim.
Taleisha is a step closer towards making her dreams come true with her recent selection to represent not only her primary school but also the state of Western Australia as part of the WA school sport swimming team heading to Adelaide in December for the Pacific School Games at the age of 11 years old. She will not only be competing against swimmers from across Australia but also swimmers from other countries such as Singapore and Fiji.
To get Taleisha to Adelaide requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Taleisha is doing her part in the water, training hard and getting herself ready for the games.
And as you can imagine travelling interstate for competition can be expensive and this does not include the registration, insurance and uniform costs that are also necessary.
The trip will cost over $2500 including airfares, accommodation, insurance, registration and uniforms, and as she is a minor, a parent also needs to accompany her. Any donation big or small towards getting her to Adelaide and helping her dreams come true would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
