The Wellspring - Stockport
Homelessness is on the increase in Stockport and Greater Manchester, the Wellspring runs an open door policy, anyone over the age of 18 can access the service. Although everybody’s situation and circumstances are different, the chances are that The Wellspring staff will have knowledge and understanding of your circumstances. If you are homeless and seeking support to change then please get in touch with the project staff at The Wellspring. A member of staff is always present and can offer the best possible advice and support. The Wellspring provides practical assistance for anyone rough sleeping, including rucksacks and sleeping bags which are donated to The Wellspring via The Rucksack Project. Wellspring staff provide regular outreach on the streets.
YMCA Humber’s Sleep Easy for 2020 - Grimsby
In 2001, YMCA Humber opened its Foyer on Orwell Street in Grimsby, providing supported housing, based upon a self-contained model, for 26 young people. The Foyer Project offers supported accommodation for 16-24 year-olds who are actively involved in education, training or volunteering.
The building boasts of 26 self-contained studio flats with 24-hour support in a university halls style environment.The Foyer seeks to help those young people who are serious about moving on in their education and making progressive steps towards their future plans
The Katie Piper Foundation
The Katie Piper Foundation’s aim is to have a world where scars do not limit a person’s function, social inclusion or sense of well being. The KPF main aims are to improve outcomes for burns survivors, deliver intensive and, comprehensive burns rehabilitation in the UK and support burns survivors throughout their recovery.
