Take What You Need Drive

Hello,
        I am, along with my fellow classmates, here to raise money for the TakeWhatYouNeed program. This program was made recently as a class project and is representative of the current organizations in UNLV today that expand beyond the scope of just my class. The money donated here will be used as a way to buy many essentials that WILL be donated to organizations and clubs for the students experiencing homelessness.

Students today are compounded with debt. This could anything from tuition to textbooks. Some students have to make a choice between eating food from grocery shopping, or buy a textbook to do the assignments for class. Although only a single example, many students have even more problems than just textbooks. Some students need items like blankets, pillows, soap, shampoo, cleaning supplies, sprays, paper towels, towels, backpacks, school supplies, notebooks, gift cards, body wash, laundry detergent, conditioner, sanitary napkins, tampons, pads, sheets, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, body wash, and the list goes on. 

These funds are needed within a couple months, as an event at UNLV to present all these items to the students experiencing homelessness starts around that time. Donations would be very helpful to battle homelessness here in Nevada. Many people and students today experience this path of life almost everyday. It is up to us, and our family and friends, to make a difference. You can make a difference, even if it is just 10$, that alone is enough to give a kid a week of food and water.
