Help me take the weight off of my wonderful family

Hey everyone, I’m Becca (if you didn’t know already!) and I’m setting up a GoFundMe for my amazing family, especially my incredible Mum.

My mum is currently in hospital following a massive Pulmonary Embolism whilst undergoing intensive Chemo and Radiotherapy to fight stage 3 lung cancer. She has been travelling to hospital everyday and on Friday was rushed to hospital in an ambulance to try and clear the clotting and infection she has. She has clotting on both sides, a compressed artery and now an infection. The cause of the cancer is unknown, she’s never smoked and is one of the least deserving people I know to be struck down with this.

This is not her first fight against the big C, but my goodness does she have fight left in her. She is the most selfless person who is loved by so many and is full of love for others. She is where I got my singing from (is a power house!) and is endlessly my number #1 fan, as I am hers. I have no words for what a wonderful woman she is.

Whilst she’s been tackling this evil disease, my brilliant stepdad has undergone a full knee replacement operation and is recovering at home (bored of being immobile and watching daytime TV) and our absolutely adored doggo Yogi has been wobbly, unwell and diagnosed with severe gum disease and needs 13 teeth out.

It is my dream to give them something incredible in return for everything they have done for me. They have supported me for my entire life and I want to do this to be able to help ease their worries by raising even something small to help. The goal is to raise any amount to contribute towards either paying for my Mum to see her brother (my Uncle) in Spain, help with Yogi’s vet bills, contribute to their mortgage or even get something for the camper my stepdad Andy is converting, to bring their dream more to life. I would love to see them finally take all the trips they’ve planned and had to put on the back burner. Anything I can do for them would be a true blessing.

They are the kindest, most unassuming people and would hate to take from anyone, but life has been cruel and unfair and friends and family are always asking how they can help. We are touched to have such incredible people around us already. They would never ask for anything… so I am! Even pennies would mean the world, I cannot describe. I just want to bring a bit more happiness and joy back into all of our lives by giving them something they truly deserve.

The kindness we have all already been shown has been overwhelming and to all of those that have been there and had us in your thoughts, I cannot thank you enough.

Endless gratitude and thanks for reading and/or sharing and donating. My Mum has spent her life loving and caring for those around her, I want her to get through this, she is a true fighter. All my love and take care of one another,
