7 year old with Brain Cancer needs your help!
Tai'Lour Hicks is one of the sweetest little girls you'd ever want to meet. Smart, Talented and Caring are just a few characteristics that stand out about our sweet babygirl. On July 26th Tai'Lour woke up being her normal happy self, while out running errands with her mother Tiffani, Tiffani noticed Tai'Lour seemed a little weak while walking. Once they got in the car Tai'Lour threw up pretty hard and said "Mommy that really hurt and I have a headache!" That was all her mom needed to hear!
Her parents (Tiffani & Jason) took her straight to the E.R. where fluid and a tumor was found on her brain. Tai'Lour was immediately scheduled for surgery to have it removed the following day! On July 28th the tumor was successfully removed and Tai'Lour is going through therapy and her little body is recovering. August 3rd the family was hit with another bombshell. The results came back;
The tumor was malignant ( infectious, cancerous)
Tai'Lour has to undergo radiation and possibly Chemo!
The Hicks family resides in Atlanta where there aren't any Proton clinics that specialize in the treatment she needs, the closes is in Jacksonville, Florida where she'll have to stay for 6 weeks while receiving daily radiation therapy. Tai'Lour's mom is devastated and heartbroken and wouldn't dream of leaving her babies side. Tiffani has taken FMLA with her employer to care for Tai'Lour which is an unpaid leave due to the medical condition not being her own. Not only will the Hicks family have medical expenses, but will now be accumulating travel expenses along with everyday bills and expenses including caring for their 2 other daughters at home. Tai'Lour has 2 older sisters who are being strong for their baby sister. At this time the Hicks family could use a little extra love and support as they deal with the unthinkable! Your donation will help relieve some of the financial burden and allow the family to be able to focus on what truly matters the most, which is Tai'Lour's Recovery!
