Tahvo Nieroda is a sweet and kind 10 year old boy who, if you have ever got the chance to meet you would see for yourself he is a spark of love and light. He is a playful kid who loves his sports and weekly activities. He plays lacrosse, soccer, trains in fitness and gymnastics, plays piano, and skateboards daily.
He is a loving son and brother with a heart of pure Gold.
And he always does his chores to help his wonderful family at home.
On Wednesday December 6 Tahvo suffered a horrible accident while practicing his cartwheels in his Fitness/Gymnastics class. He was blindsided, as another boy doing cartwheels collied with him at the same time in which both boys hit heads. The one boy shook it off, but it was clear Tahvo got the worst of it. He was hurting and could feel an indentation on side of his head. His parents took him to the hospital concerned that he may have cracked his head and possibly have a concussion. When the ER did scans on his head they saw that his skull was fractured badly and that there was blood on his Brain. He needed to be rushed to another hospital by ambulance in which they performed emergency surgery. The surgery went really well but they had to put a metal plate in his head to fix his skull.
Tahvo spent 4 days in the ICU recovering from his operation. Even though he hated his new hair cut and didn't want to be there, he remained positive and in good spirit. He was really concerned if he would be out of the hospital in time to see the new Star Wars movie.
Tahvo is now out of hospital and home on bed rest for a couple weeks. For next few months he will be sidelined from any physical activity and adjusting to his new routine of Dr. Visits and recovery.
Our goal is to try and raise enough money for Tahvo and his family to help with hospital bills, high insurance deductibles, and any other medical expenses that his family will have to cover . With this being the holiday season I can only imagine this accident was a huge hit for them. So, lets help the Nieroda Family and give them a huge holiday blessing. Please donate if you can and help show Love and Support to Tahvo and his family!
Thank you and Happy Holidays!
