TAG is a True Fighter

LEUKEMIA  is a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. In December 2017, my grandson, TaShawn A Grubbs was suddenly diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL which impacts the white blood cells) and immediately admitted to Northwestern Hospital. He was hospitalized for five weeks and is currently receiving treatments as an outpatient. This aggressive form of cancer starts in the bone marrow and quickly spreads throughout the bloodstream. Since his diagnosis, TaShawn is receiving continuous care and treatments from a dedicated team of doctors and nurses who work tirelessly to combat this dreadful disease.

Sadly, cancer adversely affects many people in our lives and community. For the past eleven years, I have been actively engaged in the fight against the breast cancer disease and now I’m an advocate in the fight against Leukemia. This GO FUND ME fundraiser was setup to assist my family in defraying the mounting costs associated with TaShawn’s care, medical treatments, and impending Stem Cell transplant which have become somewhat overwhelming.
