Taevon’s Top Surgery And Healing Fund

As most of you already know, Taevon is a transgender male and has been undergoing this transitioning process for almost four years now. There’s been a lot of accomplishments that he’s been able to do on his own, but one thing he continues to struggle with is his dysphoria. For those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s a state of feeling unhappy or uneasy. It’s hard for him to wake up and have to put on multiple binders to have a tiny bit of sense that he’s passing and his chest doesn’t seem as big as what it actually looks like. He binds at least 12 hours a day and it’s only recommended to do so for about 8 hours. Even while trying to support himself by working two jobs, saving money for surgery has been one of the toughest challenges for him. One of the biggest goals by having this surgery done is simply being able to walk outside shirtless; whether it’s just going to check the mail, take out the trash, or even going to a public pool without being stared at for looking male but needing to wear a sports bra to swim. He doesn’t ask for much or rarely anything at all, but when it comes to something that he really is passionate about he is willing to accept all the support that he can get.
