Taegan's Leukaemia battle

Hi my name is Ollie Bellingham and I’d like to tell you about my beautiful wife’s battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. We are the proud parents of our three children Kavanna, Harlen and Seriea and we are in the fight of our lives to save her life.
It all began June 3 this year, just two days before our first ever family trip overseas. What was apparently a routine medical procedure that turned our lives upside down when the doctors noticed an “anomaly during the operation”. Within 48 hours we were told that Taegan had Acute Myeloid Leukaemia that has a survival rate of 26% within 5 years of contracting this deadly disease (AML overview ).
So far Taegan has been in two rounds of daily chemotherapy that has seen her designation go from favourable to unfavourable (there are only three categories) and it breaks my heart to watch my beloved wife battling every day.
At this stage we are looking at stem cell treatment that even if successful will mean that Taegan will be in isolation for 3-4 months.
Currently, Taegan is unable to work and is unlikely to be able to for the foreseeable future at Flight Centre where she was rated in the top seven sales agents prior to this event. Unfortunately we don’t have health insurance to help us with this fight and there are few avenues to gain financial support.
Ultimately we are asking for your help as soon as possible as medical and even just day to day expenses and the mortgage repayments continue to mount rapidly.
As Taegan explained “I have hope that my genetic profile will match family members so that I can have the stem cell treatment to give me a chance of surviving for my husband and my family”. To see more from Taegan please follow this YouTube link
