Wonderful Salutations to All!

My name is Ta’Daja Graham, a Freshman at the University of Central Florida. Upon graduation from high school, I graduated in the Top 10%, International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate, a member of seven different organizations (holding an officer position in two of them), employee at Chick-Fil-A, a tutor for a child with Autism, and much more! I’ve always enjoyed staying active in my community , alongside making a difference in the world. I’ve remained transparent and wanted to continue that mindset beyond secondary school. Despite my short time as an undergraduate student, I have indulged membership into various prestigious organizations on campus; the Black Student Union, John T. Washington Honor Society, and the National Council for Negro Women. I am also a Peer Counselor, on campus, at the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Upon graduation, I plan to obtain a degree in Finance.

I am elated to compete in the Xi Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Miss Black and Gold 2018 Scholarship Pageant. This pageant stands as a pedestal for successful young women to exhibit etiquette, beauty, poise, intelligence, and confidence. This pageant stands out from others because it not only looks at what’s on the surface of the contestant, but actually who they are as a person. Miss Black and Gold definitely exemplefies what it is to make a positive impact on others and their community, aside from having qualities that encompasses true womanhood.

I am passionate about teaching financial literacy skills to the middle and lower class, because they are primarily the ones in debt and are unknowledgeable of ways to get out of poverty and move up in social class. Through participation in this pageant and with the support from the Xi Iota chapter, being crowned Miss Black and Gold 2018, will heighten my boundaries and I will be able to network with many different people to accomplish my goal of shaping many people to become financially literate. I will also be awarded a scholarship, in which it will aid me in the advancement of my college career.

I am confident that I have all the attributes of what it takes to be crowned UCF’s Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Xi Iota Chapter 2018 Miss Black and Gold. I’m humbly asking for donations of any size to assist me to forge ahead in the pageant. Your donation will be greatly appreciated, and I thank you all in advance.

Sincerely,
Ta’Daja Graham
