I’ve just had the tragic news that my brother, his partner and my nieces and nephews have lost absolutely everything in a house fire. 


My brother Colin had to jump from a top floor flat window, and displayed incredible courage and quick thinking to intentionally land on his stomach so that he could avoid damage to his legs and arms, allowing him to catch everyone else in his family before the fire consumed them. He is in hospital in a bad way at the moment but thankfully is expected to make a full recovery.  His little dog Rory was nowhere to be seen, and after initially being told that it was unlikely he had survived Rory was found safe and well after hiding to escape the smoke and flames. He is in safe hands now and it’s nothing more than a trip to the vets for him.  It is a miracle that everyone survived this with only broken bones. My baby nephew Flynn, who is only a year old, was black with smoke from head to toe and my niece Carly who already has chronic lung disease after being born extremely prematurely was at serious risk of further complications due to the fire but thankfully seems to have escaped without any serious damage.  I can’t imagine the fear the kids must have been feeling during this traumatic event. My brother’s entire body is in a bad way and the doctors and nurses at the hospital have no idea how he survived.  The hardest pill to swallow is that now they do not have a single possession in this world. No house, no clothes and all the kids toys and Christmas presents that they will never get to see are gone. Yet another victim of the 2020 curse.  I’m asking all my friends on here to help them out by donating anything at all to them.
