table//FEAST seeks to feature new, emerging voices. All editors engaged with this project bring experience to the table. We are currently in the process of forming a non profit literary magazine & organization. We are for the writers and their works. Stories, whether prose or poetry, nourish us all. With each contest we have, we match a percent of the total winnings and donate money to another non-profit tied to food, social justice, or a form of nourishment.
Although our name hinges to eating//food, we are not a food magazine. We do not theme on food. Maybe we will have a special issue. We are a literary magazine. And yet we are tied to food in a way. We all have been tied to food. Ourselves. Our ancestors. Culture is tied to it. Each item: fork, plate, table, cloth has terroir just as the food being served. The details all unique to each.
Over the next few months, we have set with this fundraiser to raise 1,000.00 USD. We are asking the public good to vouch for our mission and to support the arts - especially for writers that usually don’t receive compensation. We hope to have our contests fee-free for the first few years as a soft start.
Although we do not have any giveaways as recompense for graciousness; for every $10.00 USD you donate, you will receive a ticket for our Gastonomie Ekphrasis on November 22nd, 2021 (Doors open @ 7;15 PM); (or November 22nd, 2021; 7:15 PM). (This event is more so for those 18+. Guests must also have proof of full vaccination upon admittance). In so, if you donate $30.00 USD – you receive 3 tickets for entry & good eats. Once you make your donation, email us at: [email redacted] to reserve your tickets.
Below is our “Transparency Pledge” – more so our expenditures and costs. The money we receive is geared towards covering costs to apply for nonprofit status and if possible, a mic and amp that's economical. Whatever is residual will be used to publish and pay. more writers. Every dollar and cent is for the cause. Not our pockets. In fact, we are absorbing other costs that aren't listed.
