Tabitha's Abroad to New Zealand

Hello Family and Friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful summer! For those of you who don’t know, I am interning for the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, MA (the Mother Church) this summer, and am having a wonderful time, learning and growing lots.
In the spring of 2018, I will have the opportunity to go on Principia College’s New Zealand abroad! I feel so blessed and am really hoping to participate. The focus of the abroad is education, conservation, and culture studies -- three of my biggest passions. We will collaborate with a school in New Zealand to study experiential learning as well as work with their high school-age students. We will have the chance to teach and lead these students as we explore New Zealand’s wilderness with them. When we are not teaching, we will be visiting, working with, and learning about the indigenous Maori culture, as well as studying New Zealand’s conservation efforts towards endangered animal and plant species. This trip truly is a wonderful opportunity to learn and share more of what I love with others, while growing in Christian Science and applying directly what I am learning.
