Helping my dad with medical costs

**Update 11/30: Today he is stable and in the ICU still. We had to purchase a BiPap machine for him to use while in the hospital and for when he is released (isA). Since he needed to get a CT scan, I had to go buy a way for the BiPap machine to still work without being plugged in. Today, he has had 3 more liters of blood. We are hoping for good news that he can be transferred from the ICU to a regular room. Thank you for your support.**

**Update 11/29: My dad was rushed back into surgery this morning. His carotid artery somehow opened up, and he was losing blood fast. The surgeon decided that while my dad was under sedation, they would do a deep clean of the wound and take muscle from the left side of his chest to place in his neck to assist with the recovery. Please pray that his heart is strong enough.**

Hi, my name is Mohanned, and I am creating this GoFundMe for my dad. In 2020, right after I left Egypt, he was diagnosed with throat cancer. He went through all radiation and chemotherapy treatments required of him. It became hard for him to breathe, so he got a tracheostomy. Over time, the tumor began to grow again, and the only option was for him to go through surgery and remove his throat. This survey included removing his windpipe, rebuilding his esophagus, and removing or rebuilding everything else from above his collarbone to the top of his throat.

This surgery was intense and lasted over 12 hours. However, he came out looking great. However, he got infected and was placed in the ICU for several days, on a ventilator, and had heavy meds.

As a result, the money we had saved for this procedure and recovery has been depleted. We have already bought medical devices that he will need to use when discharged from the hospital, medical supplies, and other items needed.

While we like to be independent, we are asking for help to cover the remaining medical bills that are still outstanding. Egypt does not offer medical insurance for people over a certain age, which means anything needed after that age has to be paid out of pocket.
