Brain & Lung Cancer Recovery Fund

UPDATE: 1/1/19
Hello everyone, I have some good news and not so good news. First, the good news, my brain tumors have shrunk and not growing back. I have a 3 month follow up to make sure they aren't growing back.
Now the not so good news. My oncologist decided to add 2 more chemo treatments. That's 6 more weeks of not working. It's now 3 months since my diagnosis and I'm getting depressed. A text, a phone call, FaceBook IM or anything to cheer me up is welcome!
Sorry if this doesn't sound like a great update. But I'm hanging in there and trying to keep up my spirits.
Thank you for supporting me during this difficult time.

I'm grateful to everyone who's given to my recovery fund, but I still need help. Please make a donation, leave a note of encouragement and spread the word! Thank you for all of your love, prayers and support.

Hello Family & Friends,

As most of you know I was diagnosed with lung and brain cancer in October. Luckily my cancer team started my treatment plan right away.  I started brain radiation treatments on Oct 9th, with my last brain radiation treatment on Oct 22nd. I then started chemo for my lungs a couple of days later. My chemo treatments are every 3 weeks with 5-6 treatments in all. I am about halfway done with my chemo treatments with 2-3 more to go.

Because of the side effects of the chemo, I have been unable to work since my diagnosis at the beginning of Oct. Being self-employed means I do not qualify for workers compensation. Since I am unable to work I am not making any money for my living expenses like rent, gas, electric and other daily expenses.

While I am grateful to have a strong emotional family support system, brain and lung cancer treatments comes with serious financial concerns and unexpected expenses that I am unprepared for.
As a non-smoker, it is hard for me to understand my situation sometimes, but I try no to think about it. I have to stay positive, get thru my treatments and focus on getting better.

I am asking for help with my Jan and Feb rent & several unpaid  bills that haven't gotten paid since my diagnosis in Oct. I am hopeful that I will be able to start working again by the middle of Feb.

Please make a donation, leave a note of encouragement and spread the word! Thank you for all of your love, prayers and support.
