Bringing Lee Home

What can I say about Lee? Well Lee is a wife, a mother of 3, step- mom of 2, grandmother to 9,  sister to 11 siblings  and in- laws. Auntie to   ALOT.  Lee is my sister, my friend. Lee has been battling  breast cancer for the last 16 years. The last 8 years she has stage 4 breast cancer on the lining of her lung. She has suffered and never once complained. She’s a FIGHTER. And during all of this she fell down stairs and broke her back.  That didn’t stop her. She recovered from that. She never complained. We almost lost Lee 3 years ago . She surprised us all and bounced back from that. I told you she’s a fighter. Due to taking chemo Lee’s heart has been severely damaged and on August 29th Lee had a stroke which damaged her heart permanently. Her heart is pumping at 20% and will not get better this time.  Two of Lee’s main arteries were affected. One her speech and the other her motor skills. She can not do  rehabilitation because her heart is so weak. She is getting limited theophy.  Lee always thought of everyone else and not herself . So now her  family and friends would like to bring her home to be around  her familiar surroundings and people she loves.  That’s where Lee would want to be.  Making her as happy as possible is our goal as a family. There is a great expense to bring Lee a home. She’ll need  24/7 hour care . She will also need a hospital bed, a wheel chair, a lift and those are just the major things. With your help it would ease a great pressure on the family.  The transition from the hospital to home has started.  Things have to be in place at home before Lee can come home. So our situation is urgent.
