Assist the family of Nancy Fisher

Donation protected

My Mother, Nancy Fisher, has had a severe stroke and is on hospice care .  Unfortunately, we were not prepared for this and she has no life insurance.  She has done a lot over the years for the West Branch community, along with her quilting family with Quilt Guild. The pic is from a little trip. She has contributing in  making  blankets for veterans ,  baby hats and angel gowns for the hospital, and blankets for the Red Cross. This is only a few of the many thing she spent hours doing for others.  She has always been  there for people when they needed her . Never had a lot of money but paid her bills and had fun with life. We are not the type to ask for money and will make do but if you would like to give back we would appreciate it.

Anything over the goal would help my dad with paying bills for the  loss of  income from her Social Security . If you have any stories of Nancy or prayers you would like to post do so it would help the family.

Nancy Mae Fisher, 70, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at her home in West Branch. She lived in West Branch her entire life.

Nancy was born Sept. 9, 1948, in West Branch. She graduated from West Branch High School in 1966. Nancy's first job was at Bell Telephone as a telephone operator. She also worked at Abigail’s Flowers & Gifts, The Button Hole and Caroline’s Sewing. She loved quilting. If there was an event in town that included quilts, she was part of it. Nancy made more than 1,000 knitted hats for newborns and delivered them to the hospitals. She made blankets for Project Linus and dresses to send to children in Africa. Nancy also made “angel gowns” from wedding dresses for babies who passed away, working with Hospice of Helping Hands. She was a giving person, loved spending time with her family and friends, and was always front and center at family functions.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Victor Fisher of West Branch; children, Barb (Mark LePoudre) Fisher, Susan Fisher, Victor Fisher and Jeremy (Jennifer) Fisher; grandchildren, Adam Fisher, Alishia Fisher, Ashley Waters, Derick Waters, Ashanti Waters, Oliver Fisher, Aniela-Marie Fisher and Robert Fisher; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Elijah, Armani and Zuriah; mother, Geraldine Oliver; siblings, Ed Oliver, Dan (Connie) Oliver, Kim (Randy) Mier, Brad (Barb) Oliver and Scott (Trudy) Oliver; and her quilting sisters who remain her sisters in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father, Adam Oliver Jr.
