Lupus Warrior

My daughter LaTrena was diagnosed with Lupus in 2005. She has lived with the complications of this illness for many years. Lupus has affected everything from her heart, lungs, kidneys and central nervous system. LaTrena recently underwent open heart surgery to replace her mitral valve & repair her tricuspid valve. She is currently undergoing dialysis treatment and is schedule have a pacemaker placement procedure. Lupus has taken an enormous affect not only on her daily life but finances as well. Doctor visits and hospital stays have become a normal part of life. However, she has not nor will she ever give up hope that there will someday be a cure.
