NYC 2020

Every spring I take 40 art students to New York City to visit art museums, see the sights, and attend two Broadway shows. I fundraise throughout the year to support students who are unable to afford this trip. It is an incredible opportunity and I believe every kid deserves the chance to go. When I was in high school I took a school trip to NYC and it changed my life; I want to provide that experience to all of my students.

This is our fourth year going, and my first back after being on maternity leave. While I fundraise every year, every year I end up slightly short. I have five families I am supporting this year, and in the past I have been able to make up the difference through the donations of my friends and family.
