First Art Show

Starting this page is one of the hardest decisions that I've made recently.  I don't like asking for money as I've always thought that if it was meant to be, I'd find a way to do it on my own.  So, who am I?  I'm Shawn Marie, an aspiring (sometimes paid) photographer in Indiana. 

I've indulged in photography for as long as I can remember.  And I've struggled with being a photographer for the last several years.  I've struggled with my craft. I've struggled with the business side of the craft and I've learned why starving artists are called exactly that.  However, after many disappointments and rejections, I've been accepted into my first art show and asked to do another.  This is why I come to you. 

This is  a huge opportunity for me and one that I've been waiting for-for quite some time.  I've also learned just how expensive this type of endeavor truly is and due to unforeseen circumstances money that I thought that I would have is no longer an option.

The money that I receive would go to printing my pictures and then matting, framing, and glazing them as well as building my art displays. 

I cannot honestly even begin to describe how much this means to be nor how thankful I would be and already am for the support that I've been shown to date.  I can say that all the appreciation and gratefulness comes from the deepest part of me.  However, words do not seem to be enough.  For those that donate, if you would like one of my photos-shoot me an email and you can receive one of your choosing from any of my available photos. 

Words for this type of request are beyond me.  And words cannot even begin to describe how grateful I would be or how much it would mean to me.  I can promise that the money I receive will be used for exactly what I have described.
