On October 22nd, a couple of friends and I went to a yoga class/gathering in Dania beach. On our way home, we were driving southbound on I-95 when all of the sudden our car was hit from behind. We started spinning uncontrollably and then crashed against the side rail of the highway.
Fortunately, all three of us were still conscious and uninjured despite the hits and shock of the whole thing. The car that hit us fled the scene. It was a hit and run. I am beyond grateful that nothing major happened to any of us. We are definitely protected.
My car was destroyed beyond repair and my insurance does not cover or help since the other driver left the scene. Therefore, I am creating this campaign to ask for help with purchasing a car and covering the medical bills post accident.
I had to ask for a couple of days off work to restore my emotions and give my body the rest that it was asking for. As a behavior therapist for children with special needs, I travel from house to house (sometimes schools) seeing my patients. I depend on a car to allow me to get to my appointments and transport the materials I need to provide the therapy.
I appreciate all and any financial support you can provide comfortably. I also want to share with you that I hope you enjoy this precious and transient moment we call life while we can.
