<div>In May 2025, our beloved friend and co-worker Nicole received heartbreaking news—she was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. Just a few months before, she started experiencing symptoms she thought were signs of perimenopause. Many of us at work shared similar experiences, never imagining it could be something so serious.

<div>Nicole is the heart of our team at Food 4 Less, where she has worked faithfully for 25 years. She’s always shown up with strength, kindness, and a work ethic that inspires everyone around her. Aside from maternity leave, she’s never missed a beat. Now, it's our turn to show up for her.

<div>Nicole is a devoted mom to Bella Mandras (21) and Benji Mandras (16), and recently became a proud grandma to baby Milo (1 year). Her partner, Larry Mandras, has been a steady and loving presence through all of this and will need to take time off work to drive her to chemotherapy and radiation appointments and be by her side every step of the way.

<div>The road ahead will be incredibly tough. Along with fighting cancer, Nicole is facing overwhelming medical bills and the ongoing pressure of keeping up with household expenses. <strong>We’re reaching out to our community—friends, family, coworkers, and kind-hearted strangers—for support.</strong>
