TUTORTASTIC!

Hi, my name is Peera. I'm an aspiring astrophysicist starting college in the fall of 2023. I'm looking to create an entirely free volunteer program for the 2022-2023 school year to tutor elementary youth (K-5), especially students of color and low-income students from the Austin neighborhood and various Chicago communities.

Students' education is such a critical component of future success and opportunities. Many students from underprivileged communities can't afford a tutor, or there is such high demand for volunteer and non-profit tutoring institutions that it is nearly impossible to find help. Students' financial standing or ethnic background should not deter them from a future they deserve and have a right to.

As a former tutor for an institution and summer camp counselor for four years, I am familiar with how rewarding it is to see youth grow and excel beyond what they ever imagined was possible. I'm looking to re-create some of the glowing smiles I've seen and help students achieve academic success and higher self-esteem.

Please donate to ensure that this program can run this year and hopefully for years to come. Donations will be used for our space's school supplies, snacks, equipment, and possibly t-shirts.
