Hats Off to Chris Wilcox - Meals for LB Front Line

This campaign is named in honor of a front line healthcare hero of ours, and is intended to serve as a "thank you" to those serving the Long Beach community.

We have been providing meals to the ER team at St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach.  We would like to continue this campaign while also expanding to provide meals for staff at local nursing homes, since these facilities have been particularly hard-hit by coronavirus. We are focusing our efforts on those workers and shifts that are not yet being served by other campaigns, such as graveyard shifts and those units that have had especially severe outbreaks. Our goal is to provide a month's worth of meals, and hopefully expand from there.
 
All meals are being purchased from local, family-owned restaurants, and include a generous tip for another front line worker: the delivery person. Any amount you can give will help us support our local doctors, nurses, and other ER and nursing home staff, and provide some relief to local restaurants in their struggle to remain open.

Please make suggestions if you have a particular nursing home, shift of workers, or restaurant you'd like to see brought into the campaign!  Let us know in your comments, and we’ll do our absolute best to make it happen. And be assured that 100% of proceeds go directly to workers and restaurants.
