My name is Neula and I’m a single mom of three kids. My two youngest still live with me. Due to their unique challenges, I am unable to work because I can’t leave them alone for extended periods of time. Their dad recently became unemployed, and I have not received child support or alimony in 8 weeks now. I rely on this money to pay my bills and support my kids, so I am currently in desperate need of help. My family has already helped me out more than they should have had to.

This year has been extremely difficult for us. We’ve suffered the loss of my son’s best friend in a motorcycle accident, my brother’s loss to his cancer battle, and the sudden death of a beloved family pet. We went through a tropical storm, and two hurricanes within ten days of each other (which required us to evacuate). My youngest had a seizure in November, after being seizure free for ten years. Most likely it was caused by all of the stress of the events of the previous months. I’ve also been dealing with my own physical and mental health struggles of the past year, which - at this point - has brought me to a level of extreme exhaustion.

I’m not one to turn away help when it’s offered, but for me to ask directly, means things have gotten really bad. I appreciate anything you can give, and will gladly pay it forward when given the chance in the future.
