<div>We started this fundraiser for our dad Boguslaw, who has suddenly fallen very ill.
</div>

</div>
<div>At 4 am on 1/9/23, our dad began to exhibit seizure symptoms, culminating in 5 days in the ICU. During this time he was sedated and put on a ventilator - we had no idea if our dad would wake up, and if he did, who he would be.
</div>

</div>
<div>Though it was excruciating, we were steadfast to hope - and miraculously - our dad walked out of the ICU, arm in arm with our mom, his wife of 40 years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now the next chapter of our journey has begun. Our "tato" has been diagnosed with a rare cancer and will require long-term treatment. Through sheer tenacity and an outpouring of support from our friends we were able to get our dad admitted to
</div>
<div>Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for outpatient treatment, despite pretty impossible odds. In addition to standard cancer care, we will be trying out all available alternative medicine. 
</div>

</div>
<div>Overcoming great adversities and immigrating to America, our "tato" has sacrificed so much to give all of us a better life. Now it is our turn to care for him and allow him to fight and heal without worrying about the financial strain of his illness, as he is unable to work and our mom is now his full-time caretaker.
</div>

</div>
<div>Our parents have instilled in us the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need, and the power of community. For immigrants, community IS family. This is something we are very proud of and will continue to live by.
</div>

<div> Rozpoczęłyśmy zbiórkę pieniędzy dla naszego taty Bogusława, który nagle bardzo ciężko zachorował.

<div> O 4 rano w dniu 9/1/23 nasz tata zaczął wykazywać objawy napadu padaczkowego, którego kulminacją było 5 dni pobytu na OIOM-ie.  W tym czasie był uśpiony i podłączony do respiratora - nie mieliśmy pojęcia, czy tata się obudzi, a jeśli tak, to kim będzie.

<div> Chociaż było to potworne, byliśmy niezłomni w nadziei - i w cudowny sposób - nasz tata wyszedł z OIOM-u, ramię w ramię z naszą mamą, jego żoną od 40 lat.
</div>

<div> Teraz rozpoczął się kolejny rozdział naszej podróży.  U Taty zdiagnozowano rzadki nowotwór i będzie wymagał długotrwałego leczenia.  Dzięki nieustępliwości i ogromnemu wsparciu naszych przyjaciół udało nam się doprowadzić do przyjęcia naszego Taty do Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Cente. Będziemy także próbawać wszyskich alternatywnych metod leczenia.

<div> Pokonując wielkie przeciwności losu i emigrując do Ameryki, nasz Tato poświęcił wiele, aby zapewnić nam wszystkim lepsze życie.  Teraz nasza kolej, aby zaopiekować się nim i pozwolić mu walczyć i leczyć, nie martwiąc się o obciążenia finansowe związane z chorobą, ponieważ jest niezdolny do pracy, a nasza mama jest teraz jego pełnoetatową opiekunką.

<div> Nasi rodzice zaszczepili w nas znaczenie wyciągania pomocnej dłoni potrzebującym i siłę wspólnoty.  Dla imigrantów wspólnota to rodzina.  Jest to coś, z czego jesteśmy bardzo dumni i będziemy nadal się tego trzymały.
