Karen's 6 months rent and bills

Our friend, my dearest friend, mother to Jessica and Susie, Karen Thomas (French Snider) needs our help. Still recovering from her serious stroke and the surgery that followed, the family is working hard to move forward and improve Karen's well- being and adjust to a New Normal. Due to snafus, every application for disability and other assistance has to be started over. We are starting that today but it's a long, long process and meanwhile Karen has no income of any sort to sustain her. No insurance either.
My goal is to raise enough money to cover Karen's rent, utilities, other bills and groceries, and a little extra if she has an emergency in the next 4-6 months. Meanwhile we will be working to get everything in place so that her Disabilty, Medicaid etc is in place.
Please, please help as you are able. She needs to have the stability of her apartment and the family needs their stress level reduced, not constantly be living in weekly and monthly increments. Pass this on please to folks who have been performers, students, parents if students, colleagues and friends of the family. Meeting this goal is important.
