Experiment 6 is an artist-led group that promotes experimental movement, dance making and creative collaborations in South London.
Our aim is to offer established and emerging artists opportunities to show their work and open a dialogue with new audiences in community spaces. We hope to break down some of the boundaries surrounding experimental choreography and provide new experiences to build a community that can question, reflect and expand on what movement can be.
Due to the current challenging circumstances for artists and creatives who have been continuously undermined by the political decisions emerging from the Covid-19 crisis, this year's South London Scratch Night has been created as a fundraising event.
The raised money will not only support the community space where the event is hosted, but will be used to support the artists in their ongoing creative practice, enabling independent art to survive and have a voice in the midst of these difficult times.
The event will present the work of four independent emerging UK based artists who perform a solo piece at the Upper Norwood Library in South London. The performance will be streamed via Zoom:

As there will be no physical audience in the venue we are relying on you to let us know what you think of the pieces in the post-show discussion and through an online feedback form which will be posted on the website event page before the evening and during the streaming.
You can expect a programme of original works combining contemporary dance, physical theatre, text and visual art. See their work here.
