Eve was diagnosed with MS at 16, but she’s had relatively good health since then. In early March, that changed when she had a pretty severe flare up. She had a palsy of the right side of her face, messing up her vision and making it hard to eat and drink. On top of that, she couldn’t use her hand that well, she couldn’t keep her balance, and her brain was all foggy.
When it happened, her neurologist put her on 5 days of high dose IV steroids, but the symptoms kept getting worse, so he recommended that she go to the ER. Mike drove her to Boston where she spent the next 5 days in a neurology center getting even more steroids. (She also started a new long-term IV treatment to hopefully slow the progression of the MS.)
Needless to say, she’s unable to work right now, so we set up the GoFundMe account to help cover bills (and Mike is finishing up his degree, so things are already tight). Boston is over a hundred miles away from their house, so they’re going to need help with not only medical bills and rent, but also transportation costs back and forth to her doctors. Any help will be put to use immediately and greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
