Please Help Missy

Hi. This is so hard for me. I am not one to ask for help. I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. As many of you know I lost my mom unexpedidly in June. I took in her cat Missy. She is 12 years old and has been a part of my family. I couldn’t possibly bring her to a shelter or give her to a stranger. She is so sweet and simple. A great girl to say the least. This morning we found her bleeding on the floor. I rolled her over into my arms to see that her lower jaw was completely not where it should be. I brought her to the vet immediately. X rays showed that her lower jaw is broken and completely unattached. They think she may have been clipped by a car or possible animal attack. I am bringing her home on pain meds and hoping she is able to eat. The only sure way to keep her quality of life is to have surgery to reattach and wire her jaw back together. I have to take the chance to see if I can raise the money for surgery as she is all I have left of my mom. My mom had no life insurance and no assets. I’m just at a loss. Vet is getting me a quote for surgery but is estimated at 3-4k. I’m not ready to let her go!!! Please help if you can. Every dollar helps. If it’s not feasible for you to do I completely understand. Please share!
