" WE HAVE A DREAM "

Donation protected
We have a dream of a future,
where we all of us TOGETHER create cities that are livable, loveable, and equitable.

Help make this dream come true!

Looking back to our childhood, we all can find joyful memories of building our dream houses, dream cities, and our dream world! A world that was made the way we wanted it. One that could foster all the things that we needed and all the things that we desired! And we believed that our dream world has its own special place in the real world out there!

As we grew, many of us stopped dreaming and forgot that our ideas have the power to make a better world!
We let just a few decide how our world should look like.
And now, we are left with cities and neighborhoods that serve the desires of a few and fail to hear the needs and desires of the rest.

Now, this way of creating our cities and neighborhoods is gradually but significantly affecting our wellbeing. The environment in which we have to live, work, socialize and recreate every day, is now contributing to issues such as loneliness, food insecurity, unaffordable housing, anxiety, gentrification, social isolation, … and the list goes on and on!

We at Open Architecture Collaborative Canada have come together to tackle these issues by changing the way our cities are being created.

We are a group of designers,  planners, and innovators who believe that our cities belong to every and each one of us and that we all have the RIGHT to live in prosperous cities and neighborhoods that foster our happiness and wellbeing.

We also believe that to RECLAIM this RIGHT we need to act collectively, as big changes require collective actions, and when it comes to collective action, EVERY contribution counts!

And that is why we are here now, reaching out to you!
If you share our dream and passion for creating better cities, we want to ask you to join us and to contribute to our 2021 fundraising campaign.
Your contributions will support us to:

 1. Continue co-creating projects with local communities to achieve equitable and lively neighborhoods

2.
Continue organizing workshops with communities to raise awareness and advocate for a meaningful and inclusive engagement of communities in shaping  their neighborhoods

3.
Continue developing educational content to promote Design for Social Impact among the students and practitioners in design and planning disciplines.

Your contribution makes a difference. Let’s make the change together!
