First Responder In Need

We are seeking help for a local first responder that has encountered unfortunate circumstances. While responding to a call on 10/31/20 in the early morning hours, his personal vehicle was stolen from the fire station. Within the vehicle were many personal and professional belongings including his wild land fire-fighting equipment which he relies on for local as well as out of state incidents, to aide in fire management.
He has a career in rural parks management based in Marion County, Oregon. Previously helping at risk youth for the county, spent years as a teacher, and is a 20+year veteran volunteer firefighter and incident response team member with the Dayton Fire Department.
He has spent nearly every day of his life giving back to others, and now we are asking for your help to give him a gift he truly deserves! We are hoping to raise funds to purchase a vehicle for the first responder. His livelihood and those who need him depend on it! No one deserves to feel violated or be stolen from, but this honest, devoted, and kind hearted man deserves it least.
This year has held many obstacles and struggles for first responders due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and devastating local fires. This first responder never hesitates to help others, and this year was no different. During the Lionshead fire and Beachie Creek fires, he worked closely with the county sheriffs and OSP to evacuate and alert the impeding danger to those who were in harms way.
Once the fire was under control, he was right back in the aftermath to help those affected; helping families find and save belongings, empty refrigerators, help locate people, and offering condolences and congratulations for what as lost and what remained. Our local Dayton fire department donated a fire engine to the town of Detroit as their engine was lost in fire. This man personally delivered that engine to the devastated town and wanted no recognition for his kind and brave acts, instead seeks to remain private.
We know this year has brought hardships for us all, but we need to show our first responders we have their back and care for them as they risk their lives for us everyday! Anything you can give is appreciated more than we can ever express! Help him find light in dark times.
