T. Schreiber Acting Conservatory

I remember the first time I knew I wanted to be an actor. I was 11, gowing up in Mid-Missouri, and I was cast as Fern in Charlotte's Web. Nothing in the whole world had ever lit every bone and fiber in my body on fire like the thrill of performing. Nothing had filled my spirit with such joy and creative freedom! Miraculously, that fire and joy never died.

Here I am, almost twelve years later, and I'm about to start my fourth year in New York City. I'm a King's College Graduate (Media, Culture & Art Major, Business Minor) and a proud Park Slope resident. This Fall, after 22 years of waiting, I finally have the opportunity to fulfill an eleven year old's dream: to study the craft of professional theater in Broadway's own backyard.

I am elated to share that I have been accepted to T. Schrieber Acting Conservatory! This is a huge honor and I could not be more excited for the adventure ahead. I will train with Professionals like Peter Jensen, Terry Schreiber, Peter Miner, and Pamela Scott, taking classes five days a week, September-May.

Here's where I have to ask for help. I come from a tough background, with little financial backing. I kept good grades, had great scholarships, and worked full time through four years of college to pay my way. But Acting Conservatories don't qualify for FASFA, and I'm about $5,000 short what I need in Financial Aid to reasonably make my payments on time.

My total tuition comes out to $9,995 after scholarships. I have already put down the $1,500 enrollement deposit. If I could raise $5,000 over the course of the next semester, I can afford to commit to a year at this school. ANY amount you give will be used to pay for classes. I don't even know how to properly express how much it would mean to me to have your support. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, it means you believe in me, and that is deeply humbling.

If you'd prefer to send a check, you can contact me for my address.

Dreams are tough things. They don't come easy. They make you fight, sweat, and toil. They make you sacrifice. They make you ask for help, cause we are all only as good as the people around us. But I like a challenge. And I believe in the power of art. Will you partner with me to achieve the goal of furthering my education?

Thank you. Truly.
